Chinese Ambassador to Sri Lanka and Maldives Sun Guoxiang said that after great efforts taken by the embassy, it was confirmed that all Hong Kong citizens in Sri Lanka and Maldives have been reached and no casualty occurred to them. Currently there are over 1000 Chinese citizens, including our compatriots of Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan, in Sri Lanka and Maldives, and the embassy has not received any report of casualty concerning the Chinese citizens.
