Notice on Collecting Fingerprints for Visa Application

According to relevant regulations of the Chinese government, starting from 15 December 2021, fingerprints of both hands of an visa applicant will be collected at the Chinese Embassy in Israel.

1. Please be noted that applicants are required to come to the Chinese Embassy in Israel in person for biometric data collection. Visitors to China may be rejected to enter and will bear all consequences due to submitting forged or substituted fingerprints.

2. Exemption will be granted to the following categories of applicants:

I. Applicants under the age of 14 or over the age of 70;

II. Diplomatic passport holders, or applicants who are eligible for diplomatic, official and courtesy visas;

III. Applicants holding the same passport with fingerprints collected in past 5 years. (The exemption will only be granted when the biometric sticker visa is still identifiable. Otherwise, the exemption will only be granted at the same consular office where the fingerprints were originally collected.);

IV. Applicants with all ten fingers mutilated or all ten fingerprints uncollectible.

3. Applicants have to fill and print the visa application form online,  make appointment (http://il.china-embassy.org/eng/gztg/202105/t20210504_8923106.htm) and go to the Chinese Embassy in Israel on appointed date in person to submit visa application materials and has his or her fingerprints collected.

4. Currently, due to the pandemic of Covid-19, fingerprints collection will be exempted if an applicant submits the application through an agent or some other person.
